EVEREADY Appoints a New Director
EVEREADY has today announced the appointment of Paul Scott as a Non Independent Non Executive Director. Mr Scott received an SNC in Business Studies from Paisley College in 1984. He has worked closely with several local Universities on their MBA & graduate programs and holds several advanced training awards from U.K. Business Colleges Mr. Scott is currently the General Manager of ENERGIZER MIDDLE EAST & AFRICA LTD based in Dubai & has worked for Energizer for 13 years. He has overall business responsibility for Energizer’s total portfolio of brands: Energizer, Eveready, Schick & Playtex in over 20 countries across the region from Ghana in the West to Bangladesh in the East.
Mr. Scott has been an active member of Asia Pacific marketing groups for batteries & lighting products which are responsible for the strategic brand / marketing guidelines the area. He was also a member of the Schick Wilkinson Sword transition Team.
Prior to joining Energizer Mr. Scott worked with Rothmans International in various sales, marketing & training roles throughout Europe & the Middle East markets. He is a member of the American Business Institute & the British Businessman’s Group in Dubai. He is also a founding member of the Council Against Counterfeit a group set up to work with local Customs & Ports Authorities preventing the importation of & helping in the identification of counterfeit goods across the Middle East.
Paul represents the interest of Energizer inc. USA in the Board of Directors of Eveready.
